  
The World Bank is currently engaged in a policy dialogue with several Asian governments in the area of pension reform and the extension of pension coverage to informal sector workers. In the context of providing technical assistance in this area, the South Asia and East Asia Social Protection teams collaborated with the World Bank Institute and the Government Pension Fund of Thailand to offer this workshop.Â
Policymakers, practitioners and specialized consultants from India were invited to participate and contribute to the workshop. Participants included policymakers, academics and practitioners.
