Workshop on Extending Pension Coverage to Informal Sector Workers in Asia

The objectives are

• Analyze the current situation of the countries in the South and East Asia regions in regard to the coverage of pension systems
• Explore alternatives to extend coverage through contributory and non contributory schemes
• Share experiences of the countries in the regions
• Discuss cases from the international experience and evaluate its applicability to the Asian context.
