Pakistan: Third Partnership for Polio Eradication Project

WASHINGTON, June 18, 2009 - The World Bank’s Board of Executive Directors today approved the following project:

 

Pakistan: Third Partnership for Polio Eradication Project

 

IDA Credit: US$74.68 million equivalent

Terms:  Maturity = 35 years; Grace period = 10 years 

Project ID: P114508

Project Description: The Third Partnership for Polio Eradication Project in Pakistan will assist the Government of Pakistan’s Polio Eradication Initiative in decreasing the number of polio cases and ultimately eradicating the disease in Pakistan. The development objective is to assist Pakistan’s efforts to eradicate polio through supply of the Oral Polio Vaccine for the country’s supplementary immunization activities during 2009-11.
