Pakistan - Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and FATA Emergency Recovery Project

WASHINGTON, January 20, 2011 - The World Bank’s Board of Executive Directors today approved the following project:

 

IDA Credit: US$250 million equivalent

Terms: Maturity = 35 years; Grace = 10 years

Project ID: P121394

 

Project Description: The objective of the project for Pakistan is to support the Government of Pakistan, specifically the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province and Federally Administered Tribal Areas, in their recovery efforts through providing safety net support grants to poor and vulnerable households affected by the militancy crises, providing conditional cash transfers for human development to poor and vulnerable households and strengthening necessary capacities and systems for post-disaster safety nets.
